WALTER RAU Neusser Öl und Fett AG
WALTER RAU Neusser Öl und Fett AG utilises a wide range of technological processes and methods to refine carefully selected plant-based raw materials into high-quality functional oils and fats. These methods include de-gumming, de-acidification (chemical and physical), bleaching, mixing, hydrogenation, transesterification (chemical and enzymatic), and the de-odorisation of raw materials in accordance with a pervasive quality management system. The oil mill Simons & Söhne was founded in Neuss in 1887. The name change to WALTER RAU Neusser Ölwerke AG brought the oil mill's systematic specialisation in fats. Since 2016, the company has been an independent profit centre of the Bunge group. This integration provides additional expertise on algae as potential raw material for the extraction of omega-3.
